The summit has an elevation of 1474 m. Named for Charles C. Plummer of the US Geological Survey, Denver. Geologist on the first major geological fieldwork campaign in southern Palmer Land 1969-70. This expedition, led by Paul Williams (q.v) laid the foundations for subsequent sustained geological fieldwork in southern Palmer Land.
