Steep scree cwm with moss beds and tussac grass (Poa flabellata) on the lower reaches, west of Cardno Point, at the eastern end of Bird Island. Named after the macaroni penguin (Eudyptes chrysolophus) which has a colony on the cwm. (APC, 1982). |
